Chocolate. Everyone’s Favorite Herb
Explore a range of chocolates and their uses, including white, milk and dark; unsweetened, bittersweet, semisweet, and sweet; bean to finished product. The class will feature demos and tastings of all dishes prepared. The menu will include Sweetheart Rose Double Chocolate Brownies, a chocolate beverage, and more. Everyone will receive a chocolate sample, recipes, a copy of Louisiana Cookin’ magazine, and a store discount good on the day of the class.
Join Sarah Liberta, culinary herbalist, writer and life-long teacher in the demo kitchen for fun and informative classes on growing and cooking with herbs. In addition to running her successful business HERBS by Sarah, she was the former Director of Education for Chef John Folse's White Oak Plantation and led popular monthly culinary garden seminars. She's also led heb classes for LSU's OLLI program since 2011. Sarah is a contributor to cookbooks and publications including "Louisiana Cookin'" and "The Essential Herbal" magazines. She loves cooking with fresh herbs and is passionate about teaching others to share in that joy.
These are "sit, watch, learn and taste" demos where each participant enjoys a sample of the dishes cooked. Everyone receives a live herb plant, copy of "Louisiana Cookin', a sample product and a store discount to use the day of the class. Cancellation/refund requests must be received at least seven days prior to the class date.
