Cook, Plate, Shoot

Join the Red Stick Spice Company with Anne and photographer Mike Buck in the kitchen for pro tips on cooking and shooting gorgeous food photos. Mike is the man behind the lens and responsible for the mouthwatering images on the Waitr app. He knows a thing or two about photography and knowledge comes with a bonus: Mike is also holds a nutrition degree. Win-win!

Mike will teach plating tips along with direction on working with both natural light and artificial light. You'll take shots of the dishes in the raw ingredient stage, in process and plated. This class is limited to only 6 people. Sign up fast!

August 15 class features:

Summer Vegetable Soup with Creme Fraiche and Pistachio Gremolata

Completely Customizable Bibimbap

Blueberry Crumble with Cinnamon-Pecan Ice Cream

Class requirements: DSLR camera in good working order. You must have a working knowledge of your camera. While Mike can assist with some setup questions, we can't guarantee we can troubleshoot your camera's issues. A 50mm or macro lens is required--your "kit" lens is not the best tool for close up food shots. Please be sure you have a memory card with available space, fully-charged battery and wall outlet battery charger. If you have questions about camera requirements, you are welcome to contact us in advance.
