Global Mala on UN International Peace Day @ The Motor Exchange

Join area instructors in the original Baton Rouge celebration of United Nations International Peace Day. The Global Mala, conceived of by Shiva Rae, is a dedicated practice to be done in communities across the planet thereby creating a circle of peace around the world. Traditionally the practice is 108 sun salutations, done in subsets of 27. Red Stick Peacemakers will be offering a version of the mala in hopes of including more people of all ability levels. We will honor the 108 beads of a mala by doing the following:

27 Rounds of Mantra (Kirtan style, call and response)
27 Rounds of Sun Salutation A (*if you are not able to participate in the sun salutations, you will participate in guided meditation)
27 Rounds of Kriya
27 Minutes of Yoga Nidra

Please join us to foster peace in our hearts, peace with one another and peace for the world! The event is free to the community. Please bring mat and water bottle.
